About the Owner

Hi there! I’m not always great at talking (or typing) about myself, but here goes. My name is Rachael, and I run this little bakery mostly on my own. Well… that’s not entirely true. My husband, Patrick, has probably washed more dishes than I have since I started this journey — and for that, I am endlessly grateful. (Thank you! 🤍)

I jumped on the sourdough bandwagon about four years after everyone else did. My starters, Adele and Jeanine, came to life in August 2024, and they’ve been my loyal sidekicks ever since. And by “sidekicks,” I mean more like tiny, flour-powered daughters who demand to be fed, nurtured, and paid attention to daily. I can practically hear them shouting, “Excuse me! We’re hungry!”

Once I found my rhythm with the bread-making process, I started sharing my loaves with friends and family and received such encouraging feedback. That’s when the idea began to take shape: Could I turn this thing I love into something I could share with even more people?

I’m a planner by nature, so I immediately started making lists — getting licensed with the county, building a website, taking photos, pricing ingredients, creating labels, and about a hundred other little details. It felt overwhelming at times, but I took it one step at a time. And now, here I am.

When I’m not in the kitchen (or thinking about being in the kitchen), I love to travel. My favorite place I’ve visited is Sorrento, Italy — it completely stole my heart. My happy place, though, is Disney World or anywhere on a Disney cruise. I love reading, listening to podcasts (mostly true crime), music, crafting, and taking long walks. I also love concerts — I was lucky enough to see Adele during her Las Vegas residency, and it may have been the most extravagant treat I’ve ever given myself.

Being a mom is my absolute favorite role in life. I’m blessed with one daughter and two amazing bonus daughters. My favorite drink is an espresso martini, and my favorite food is a warm slice of fresh sourdough with a generous spread of really good salted butter and a sprinkle of Maldon sea salt flakes. A close second? A Mickey-shaped ice cream bar — best enjoyed with my daughter on a bench in Magic Kingdom or on a Disney cruise ship sailing away from Lookout Cay in the Bahamas.

Thanks for being here and supporting this little dream of mine. 🤍
